Image is Important.
Why?
Because we live in a society that is based upon Image. Our first judgments are based upon what we see, that’s just the nature of the way things work. Satanist understand this better than most, we understand the Command to Look and how powerful a tool that can be. But we also understand it is a double edge sword and that the Command to Look when used improperly can do more harm than good. Satanists understand that in order to Advance not only themselves, but also Satanism, we must take steps to show the General Population who and what Satanist are. The vast majority of Satanist are not Robe Clad Dark Magus of the Ultra Secret Underground Quasi Masonic Satanic Society.
*FACT* the second you acknowledge you are a member of said society it is no longer a Secret.
After all, how can the Society be a secret if its members acknowledge its existence publicly?
But, there are those that do in fact adhere to this Mindset, those who buy they’re own Hype, blinded by Self Deceit. They have indeed become Fancy Dan the High Priest Man, and they happily perpetuate that Image. And because that is the image already embraced by the General Population they do tend to get a spotlight on Occasion.
This of course begs the question “What can be done about this?”
Well, I’m going to assume that if your still reading then you don’t answer to a “High Priest” should you think for yourself, I’m going to assume you have either out grown D&D Satanism or simply never placed too much stock in the whole “Priesthood” thing. There is a 50/50 Chance that it will be YOU the Non Satanic population is exposed to, you who are given the Opportunity to represent not only yourself but every Satanist to come after you. It will be Your Image that comes to mind when they look for Examples, an Example that shows Satanist to be Individuals grounded in Reality as opposed to Fantasy.
And while we are on the Subject of Fantasy;
Indulging in Fantasy is Healthy; Escaping into Fantasy is Mental Illness. This is the Primary Problem with Christianity, The Illusion that without a Priest to guide them, to tell em what things mean, they will falter if not fail altogether. They cling to this Fantasy because they fear thinking for themselves and standing on they’re own two feet. And now there are Satanist who cling to this same Fantasy, and many of them teach it as Satanism.
Again, when encountering a Satanist it behooves a Satanist to ask, Reality or Fantasy? Where is this person coming from? And respond accordingly. We must begin to use Selective Judgment with “our own kind”, we must begin to call those who do nothing more than perpetuate hypocrisy on they’re actions. Those who are in no way a reflection of Us, in no way a Reflection of Satanism.
